Getting back into the habit
of donating blood. Will be going for the fourth time on the 11th, and whilst there I’m going to sign up to donate bone marrow.
That way, although I have to wait to do it every few months, I get my needle fix for free and by doing something good for other people. And I know bone marrow donation will hurt like hell, and mean two nights in a shitty hospital and two weeks off of whatever job I may be in. But for anyone who asks, ‘Why would you put yourself through that?’ …Try putting yourself in the shoes of someone dying of leukaemia, or cancer. Even just watch ‘My Sister’s Keeper’.
